refractive eye surgery
I then had a wavefront lasik enhancement on Sept 23, 2004. The day after, my vision was perfect. Then, as that first week wore on, I began to have a lot of eye strain, and couldn't see up close. I felt an awareness of my eyes working hard to change focus as I looked around at different objects at different distances (not just close up objects). I went to the lasik doctor, who said I was +1 hyperopic, and that's what was causing the eye strain. He said that it was a normal part of the healing process, and he expected my eyes to regress toward normal vision. The eye strain lasted about 3 weeks, and then my near vision returned, and my eye strain lessened. The eye strain came and went for several weeks, and then finally went away. I now have 20/20 vision and am very happy with my result. It was a long difficult (five month) journey. Find more information about refractive eye surgery in my blog.
